    valet parking is back!

    before I joined MS offered valet parking... and it's back!
     
    we have a serious parking (and office space) problem at the redwest campus, so bad that even all the illegal parking spots are taken. it's quite an art, to actually find a legitimate illegal parking spot :) yeah, what does that really mean? finding spots that could be parking spots but aren't in the fire lane or blocking traffic and that arent' easily towable :) yes, tow trucks do stop by at our campus.
     
    me - i've been parking in carpool spots a lot (and no i don't have a carpool tag). yes, it's probably bad karma. but it's impossible to find a parking spot, and missing a meeting is worst that parking in a semi-legal spot.
     
    anyways, as of tomorrow we'll have valet. the minus is that the parking garages that offer valet are kinda far from my building and I've never parked there. there's also a 'no tip' rule, which is good! tipping twice a day can do some damage but i'd probably feel totally weird not tipping :) we'll see how it goes, i have a feeling i'll stick to my rule for the most part:
    - get to work before 8:30 am or between 11:30-1:30 pm

    Paul--> Public transportation isn't the best in seattle, which explains why so many people drive.  It also could have to do with our sporadic work hours which makes taking the bus unpredictable.
